Course Description/Objectives:
Lecture and practical discussion on balance and gait.
Course Objectives:
- Become familiar with the systems theory of postural control and how it can be used to guide practice
- Describe screening and assessment tools appropriate for use with adults with impairments in balance and gait.
- Design individually tailored balance and gait programs based on impairments identified.
- Discuss the research evidence supporting different intervention strategies.
